Antique Blanket Chest - Storage Chest for sale in Red Bank, New Jersey

This is a wonderful large antique Blanket Chest or Storage Chest.

I believe the piece is re-claimed wood, which would make "going green" cool before it's time.

I would put the age at sometime around the late 1800's.

This item has three drawers on the bottom, and two additional drawers on the inside.

Above the inside drawers is an additional storage area that is accessible by the thumb hold.

Very interesting piece.

There are large black iron hinges for the lid, and great dove tail detail.

Perfect for storage of some many thing,

It would be great for out of season clothes, holiday dishes, a large toy chest, books, sports equipment and so much more.
